Man dies in dirt bike wreck near Red River

IDABEL A Tom man died Sunday at the scene of a dirt bike accident on the banks of the Red River in McCurtain County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.About 6 p.m., Jon Phillips, 32, was eastbound on the sandy river bank southwest of Idabel when he lost control of his dirt bike on a hump, troopers said. The bike rolled and threw Phillips off.Troopers did not say if Phillips was wearing a helmet. see more on NewsOK.com
